Orioles pitching prospect Luis Noel is still in the Dominican Republic dealing with visa complications.
“There is no indication this is about a false age. It seems to have to do with school records and schools he attended, said O’s Director of Player Development David Stockstill. “The longer this goes, it just doesn’t look too good.” The 21-year-old Noel finished 10-8 with a 3.96 ERA in 27 starts at Single-A last season.

Luis Noel improved to 7-1 at low Single-A Delmarva by allowing one run in seven innings and striking out 10 on Saturday.
With a 2.73 ERA and a .213 average against, Noel has been one of the Sally League’s best pitchers. The 20-year-old won’t emerge as a top prospect unless he adds some velocity, but he’s intriguing anyway.
