Adam Jones (thumb) is not in Wednesday’s lineup against the Rays.
Jones appeared as a pinch-runner during Tuesday’s game, but isn’t yet ready to return to the starting lineup. Consider him day-to-day right now. Matt Angle will make the start in center field Wednesday and bat leadoff against right-hander Wade Davis.

Adam Jones (thumb) doesn’t expect to start the second game of Monday’s doubleheader against the Red Sox.
Jones entered the first half of the doubleheader as a defensive replacement, but it’s not clear if he is ready to swing a bat. Chances are Matt Angle will make another start in center field for the nightcap.

Matt Angle drove in the go-ahead run with a suicide squeeze bunt in Saturday’s 6-5 win over the Tigers.
Angle also hit a solo home run, playing the hero on multiple levels against the American League Central champions. He’s batting .181/.289/.278 in 27 games played.

Dodgers claimed OF Matt Angle off waivers from the Orioles.
Angle was designated for assignment by the Orioles earlier this month to make room for Luis Ayala on the 40-man roster. The 26-year-old batted .177/.293/.266 with one home run, seven RBI, 11 stolen bases and a .559 OPS over 95 plate appearances at the major league level last season. He’s unlikely to crack the Opening Day roster unless there’s an injury.

Orioles designated OF Matt Angle for assignment.
He was cleared to make room for the newly-signed Luis Ayala on the 40-man roster. Angle, 26, batted .177/.293/.266 with one home run, seven RBI, 11 stolen bases and a .559 OPS over 95 plate appearances with the O’s last season. He can play all three outfield positions, has plus-speed on the basepaths and some patience from the left side of the plate, so he could draw some interest on waivers.

Orioles GM Dan Duquette believes Nolan Reimold could be Baltimore’s starting left fielder this season.
“It’s that time and Nolan knows that,’' Duquette said. ''He’s got the health issues behind him. I’ve got a good feeling about Nolan this year. I want him to be our left fielder. I want him to grab it and go.” Reimold, 28, batted .247/.328/.453 with 13 homers and 45 RBI in 305 plate appearances this past season. He is expected to compete with journeyman Endy Chavez and Matt Angle for the right to serve as Baltimore’s starting left fielder.

Dodgers sent OF Matt Angle outright to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Angle batted .303/.376/.412 with five homers at Albuquerque this season. It’s possible he’ll receive a non-roster invitee to spring training but isn’t a great bet to make the roster.

Dodgers recalled OF Matt Angle from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Angle batted .303/.376/.412 with five homers at Albuquerque this season. He’ll compete for a bench spot next year.

Adam Jones (thumb) was scratched from Friday’s lineup against the Angels.
Jones was on the original lineup card, but his right thumb is still an issue. Matt Angle will now make the start in center field while Nolan Reimold plays left.
