The latest batch of cuts from Mariners camp trims their spring training roster down to just 34 players with Opening Day right around the corner. There isn’t a spot for Hancock in Seattle’s crowded starting rotation mix, but he could get a look at some point if injuries or ineffectiveness strike. Taylor possesses an intriguing blend of speed and defensive versatility, but hasn’t been able to carve out a role at the highest level yet.

Papierski spent last year at Triple-A Toledo in the Tigers’ system after getting into 26 games the previous season between the Reds and Giants. He’s merely emergency catching depth for the Mariners at this juncture of his career.

Papierski was non-tendered by the Tigers earlier this month, shortly after being claimed off waivers from the Reds, and will stick around as organizational catching depth. The 26-year-old backstop got into 26 games last year between the Reds and Giants.

Papierski was claimed off of waivers from the Reds in October, but never actually got the chance to appear in a game with the Tigers. He was designated for assignment earlier in the week and will now get the opportunity to peddle his wares on the open market.

Papierski was just claimed off of waivers from the Reds in October, but he’ll lose his spot on the 40-man roster in the flurry of moves on Tuesday. There’s a decent chance that he passes through waivers unclaimed and continues to function as catching depth for the Tigers.

Papierski went 13-for-82 in 34 games for the Reds after being claimed off waivers from the Giants in July. He provides backstop depth for the 2023 season.

Papierski has hit .159 (13-for-82) in 34 games this season for the Reds since being claimed off waivers from the Giants back on June 25.

Papierski’s homer off Corbin Burnes today is his only extra-base hit in 77 plate appearances to date. He’s batting .149/.250/.194.

Papierski was just claimed off waivers from the Giants this past Saturday and will jump into action for the Reds on Tuesday as the new backup for Aramis Garcia. Tyler Stephenson suffered a fractured thumb on June 9.

Papierski will provide the Reds with some extra catching depth at Triple-A Louisville after being designated for assignment last weekend by San Francisco. The 26-year-old backstop got into five games earlier this season with the Giants and went 0-for-9 at the plate.
