Blue Jays INF prospect Miguel Hiraldo went 3-for-5 with a steal on Wednesday for Low-A Dunedin on Wednesday.
That steal is already the fifth on the season for Hiraldo in just 19 games. Despite the three-hit game, it’s been a bit of a slow start with the bat for the 20-year-old, as he’s still slashing a less-than-spectacular .260/.313/364 with one homer and a 25/5 K/BB ratio. Don’t let those numbers fool you, however; this is a hitter with the potential for plus power as he fills out his frame, and he should make enough hard contact to hit for a decent average as well. Hiraldo is years away, but a player that can stay up the middle of the infield that’s capable of hitting 25 homers and stealing up to15-to-20 bases is certainly one fantasy managers should keep an eye on.
