Cubs purchased the contract of RHP Mike Hauschild from the Lexington Legends and assigned him to Triple-A Iowa.
The right-hander has not pitched in the major leagues since 2018 when Hauschild carried a 4.32 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over 8 1/3 innings. The 31-year-old has a career 4.03 ERA over 812 1/3 minor league innings over eight seasons.

Cardinals signed RHP Mike Hauschild to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Hauschild appeared in two games with the Blue Jays in 2018 and posted a 4.90 ERA in 23 starts in Triple-A between stops with Toronto and Houston. The 28-year-old is unlikely to be a major contributor for St. Louis, but he’ll give them another arm in Triple-A at the very least.

Rangers selected RHP Mike Hauschild from the Astros with the No. 16 pick in the Rule 5 draft.
Hauschild has spent most of the last two seasons in the Triple-A Fresno rotation, going 16-15 with a 3.33 ERA and a 200/67 K/BB ratio in 227 innings. The Astros, though, didn’t think his stuff would play in the majors. The Rangers have a greater need for rotation depth and will take a long look at him in the spring. If he doesn’t make the team as the fifth starter, he could be a factor in middle relief.

Mike Hauschild worked four scoreless innings Sunday in his Cactus League start versus the White Sox.
Hauschild yielded just two hits over his four shutout frames, striking out three against one walk. The right-hander is trying to win a spot on the Rangers’ roster out of camp after being selected 16th overall from the Astros in December’s Rule 5 Draft.

Mike Hauschild was hit hard by the Athletics on Thursday, allowing three runs -- two earned -- on four hits in 2 1/3 innings.
The Rangers grabbed him in the Rule 5 draft in December from the Astros. He pitched to a 3.22 ERA in 24 starts at Triple-A last year. He will get a chance to audition for the rotation this spring. He didn’t do himself any favors today. If the Rangers don’t think he is ready for the majors they will have to offer him back to the Astros.

Rangers returned RHP Mike Hauschild to the Astros.
The Rangers plucked Hauschild from Houston in the Rule 5 draft over the winter, but they’re giving him back after an unsuccessful four-game stint in Texas. Hauschild has already cleared waivers and has been assigned to Triple-A Fresno.

Rangers designated RHP Mike Hauschild for assignment.
His roster spot will be absorbed by right-hander Anthony Bass. Hauschild looked overmatched in the big leagues, producing a miserable 11.25 ERA over four outings this year. The Rangers’ bullpen has been a mess all season.

Blue Jays signed RHP Mike Hauschild.
Hauschild was released by Houston earlier this week but obviously it didn’t take him long to resurface. He’ll be available out of the pen Thursday night in Seattle. The 28-year-old has contributed an ugly 11.25 ERA over four major league outings this year.

Mike Hauschild let in four runs over 2 1/3 innings and was charged with a loss to the Red Sox on Wednesday.
He made it through two innings unscathed but then got knocked around in the third, with the big blow being a two-run double by Mitch Moreland. The other two runs scored on sacrifice flies by Andrew Benintendi and Xander Bogaerts. Hauschild picked a tough spot to make his first career start -- against the highest-scoring team in the majors. The 28-year-old was released by the Astros last week and then signed with the Blue Jays. He has a 4.32 ERA in 8 1/3 innings of work this year.

Hauschild allowed four earned runs over just 2 1/3 innings in his first major league start Wednesday night against the Red Sox. The 28-year-old right-hander owns a 7.71 ERA in 16 1/3 career major league frames.
