The Braves have signed reliever David Aardsma to a minor league deal,’s Mark Bowman reports. He is expected to report to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.

Aardsma, 33, hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2013. He had been with the Dodgers on a minor league deal, but exercised his opt-out clause on June 1. In 18 2/3 innings with Triple-A Oklahoma City, he posted a 2.41 ERA with a 23/7 K/BB ratio.

Aardsma is well-traveled, having spent time in the organizations of the Giants, Cubs, White Sox, Red Sox, Mariners, Yankees, Marlins, Mets, Cardinals, and Dodgers. The Braves will be his 11th organization.

The Braves have the worst bullpen ERA in baseball, entering play Saturday with an aggregate 5.03 ERA.
