It’s more funny than dire, unless you happen to be a part-time Dodgers employee.

As a result of the Dodgers filing for bankruptcy on Monday, the team’s accounts were frozen for 48 hours. Dodger Stadium security guards and ushers due to be paid on Monday and Tuesday, at least those not using direct deposit to receive their funds, had their paychecks bounce.

Dodger spokesman Josh Rawitch said the funds were always there to cover the checks, they just weren’t able to be used. With the 48-hour freeze expired, new checks were issued on Wednesday.

Hopefully they included a little something extra for the hassle.
