Veteran infielder Everth Cabrera has agreed to a minor-league deal with the Giants, according to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com.

Cabrera signed a one-year, $2.4 million contract with the Orioles this offseason only to be released last week after hitting .208 with a .479 OPS in 29 games.

Cabrera made the All-Star team in 2013 as a member of the Padres, but he’s a career .246 hitter with a .643 OPS who profiles best as a utility man with good speed and the ability to play shortstop or second base.
