The Cleveland Indians today acquired outfielder Brandon Guyer from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for minor league outfielder Nathan Lukes and righty Jhonleider Salinas.

Guyer is a solid depth/platoon guy, who has hit .283/.384/.464 in 472 career plate appearances against left-handed pitching and he can play all three outfield positions. This season he’s hitting .241 with 12 doubles, 1 triple, 7 home runs and 18 RBI in 63 games. He gets hit by a LOT of pitches.

Lukes, 22, was a seventh round pick last year and is currently playing in high-A. Salinas is 20, pitching in rookie ball. He strikes out a lot of dudes.

A nice pickup for the Indians who will definitely help their lineup and flexibility.
