From the “yeah, I know, but Opening Day is still two days away so fixating on this silly b.s. seems like fun” department:
Jay-Z has a club in New York called 40/40. David Ortiz allegedly visited it, liked it and opened up his own club called 40/40 in the Dominican Republic. This led to some acrimony between the two of them, and Jay-Z sued Big Papi for $5 million. According to the New York Daily News, however, they’ve settled their differences over the matter:The two were set to square off Tuesday in Manhattan Federal Court over use of the name 40/40, but the conference was cancelled at the last minute, the hip-hop giant’s lawyer said.
“The case has been settled in principle,” said attorney Peter Raymond. “We have agreed on the outlines of a settlement and need to reduce it to writing.”In other words, it’s safe to say that Jay-Z now only has 98 problems.
