Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber had been slumping, registering just two hits in his last nine games dating back to July 17. He got himself back on track in a big way Sunday afternoon against the Brewers. Schwarber opened the scoring in the second inning with a grand slam to right field off of Kyle Davies. He followed up with a three-run homer in the fourth, again off of Davies, to put the Cubs up 7-0. They would go on to win 11-4.

After going off on Sunday, Schwarber is hitting .228/.317/.484 with 24 home runs, 54 RBI, and 54 runs scored in 404 plate appearances this season. He’s on pace for 37 homers and 83 RBI, both of which would be career-highs. His current career-highs are 30 homers and 61 RBI.
