Earlier today, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports said that while it once appeared to be a foregone conclusion that outfielder Nick Markakis would return to the Orioles, it is no longer. As a result, they are considering their alternatives, such as trading for Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp.

Markakis, 31, hit .276/.342/.386 with 14 home runs and 50 RBI, helping guide the Orioles into the ALCS, where they lost in four games to the Royals.
