The Orioles announced on Wednesday that the club acquired pitcher Logan Verrett from the Mets in exchange for cash considerations.

Verrett, 26, is under team control through the 2021 season and won’t become eligible for arbitration until after the 2018 season. The right-hander has pitched out of both the starting rotation and bullpen for the Mets, compiling a career 4.65 ERA and a 105/58 K/BB ratio in 139 1/3 innings.

Verrett will give the Orioles valuable pitching depth with his ability to pitch in a variety of situations.
