Mike Wright of the Orioles is a 25-year-old rookie struggling a good bit in his first nine big league games. But he’s an all-star good samaritan. As the Baltimore Sun reports, he was leaving Camden Yards after Sunday’s game when he came across a motorist who had a flat tire. He leant a hand:
“He was there trying to crank it up and he was obviously struggling,” Wright said. “I went down there and helped him jack it up, helped him loosen up a few bolts. It just took about 20 minutes.”
And when he was done he offered to leave the guy and his girlfriend tickets for a future O’s game.
Wright played parts of three seasons in Triple-A. And if this baseball thing doesn’t work out for him he can go get a job with AAA.
