The Rays announced on Sunday that pitching prospect Blake Snell will be called up to start on Thursday against the Mariners. Matt Andriese will be moved to the bullpen as a result.

Snell made his major league debut earlier this season against the Yankees, throwing five innings of one-run ball. The 23-year-old has spent the vast majority of the season at Triple-A Durham, where he’s posted a 3.29 ERA with a 90/28 K/BB ratio over 63 innings.

Snell is considered the Rays’ best prospect and the 12th-best overall prospect by MLB Pipeline.
