According to Jon Morosi, the Giants are prepared to offer a position to Farhan Zaidi, who is presently the Dodgers’ general manager. Zaidi is among a handful of executives the organization has considered along with Chaim Bloom, Jason McLeod, Amiel Sawdaye, and Kim Ng.

The Giants fired GM Bobby Evans in September and are reportedly interested in making a “big splash” to restructure the front office. The Giants have had back-to-back losing seasons and may have to head into a rebuilding mode with an aging roster and one of baseball’s weaker minor league systems.

Zaidi currently ranks behind president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman in the Dodgers’ front office pecking order. He would presumably be the top dog if he were to join the Giants’ front office.
