KFAN’s Paul Lambert reports that the Twins have signed reliever Zach Duke. Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press later confirmed that report. The terms of the deal are not yet known.
Duke, 34, made his season debut shortly after the beginning of the second half this past season, having completed his rehabilitation from Tommy John surgery. In 18 1/3 innings across 27 relief appearances with the Cardinals, the lefty posted a 3.93 ERA with a 12/6 K/BB ratio.
Duke adds some more depth to the Twins’ bullpen. The club added Fernando Rodney earlier this month.
