The beginning of the second half saw a big influx of prospect promotions. The Rockies were among the teams doing so, calling up outfield prospect David Dahl on July 25.

Dahl has lived up to expectations in his first 10 games, registering a hit in each of them. He has 11 singles, a double, and three home runs -- including one hit on Thursday night -- in 40 plate appearances as of this writing.

MLB Pipeline rated Dahl as the Rockies’ second-best prospect behind middle infielder Brendan Rodgers.
