Royals starter Chris Young was rather hittable during Monday’s loss to the Yankees. The right-hander recorded only eight outs while surrendering five solo home runs, bumping his major league-leading total to 13. MLB.com’s Jeffrey Flanagan reports that Young will fly back to Kansas City to undergo an MRI on his arm.

Young said he has been dealing with forearm pain since the end of spring training, per Flanagan. Young said, “I’ve had to change how I take off my shoes, brush my teeth, take off my shirt…" to deal with the pain.

Young was slated to start on Saturday against the Braves, but Dillon Gee will pitch in his place.
