One of the most vital moments of this season will occur Thursday at a breakfast meeting in Los Angeles between Troy Tulowitzki and his longtime agent, Paul Cohen.
The two will decide whether it is time to ask Rockies management for a trade.
“To say that it is not a possibility would be silly,” Cohen told The Post by phone.
Tulo hinted pretty loudly last year that he wanted out of Colorado, and the Rockies again look like a non-contender.
So it sounds like the volume might be ready to pick up from the star shortstop’s camp.
In a followup, FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal says the Rockies are not ready to talk about a Tulowitzki trade and are instead searching for pitching that would come at a “low acquisition cost.” Good luck with that.
Tulowitzki began the 2015 season with six years and $118 million left on his contract.
The 30-year-old is batting .307/.317/.495 with two homers and 10 RBI in 28 games.
