Outfield prospect Clint Frazier went from the Indians to the Yankees along with three other prospects in the Andrew Miller trade on Sunday. Joining the Yankees meant a few things to Frazier, among them a haircut and an opportunity to ask Instagram model Jen Selter, who has nearly 10 million followers, out on a date.
Frazier tweeted to Selter, “now that both of us are in New York, I think it’s only fair you let me take you on a date! #SelterFrazierDate.”
10 minutes later, Frazier retweeted his own tweet, adding, “make this happen! #SelterFrazierDate.”
Frazier told NJ Advance Media, “I’ve been trying to reach out to her.” He added, “She lives in New York. I think she’s 22. I’m 21. I’m single. Let’s hook this up!”
Selter has yet to respond.
MLB Pipeline rates Frazier as the Yankees’ best prospect. He was hitting .276/.356/.469 with 13 home runs, 48 RBI, 56 runs scored, and 13 stolen bases in 391 plate appearances with Double-A Akron before earning a promotion to Triple-A Columbus in late July. He played five games there before the trade, after which the Yankees assigned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
