Peter Mooney went 4-for-4 with a triple and a double against the Astros on Thursday.
Mooney has never hit much in the minors, but he’s come through with a .359/.432/.487 line in 39 at-bats for the Marlins this spring in his quest to win a bench job. It might happen, if only because J.T. Riddle seems increasingly likely to open up on the DL.
