Gomez is now back on the free agent market and could struggle to attract offers -- even non-guaranteed ones -- if his health is compromised. Gomez mostly struggled last year at Triple-A Sacramento and was horrible for the Giants as a September callup, but the 28-year-old right-hander has good numbers in the lower minors and put together a nice spring. He’ll likely pitch in low-leverage situations.
