Nationals acquired SS Ronny Cruz and OF Christian Franklin from the Cubs for RHP Michael Soroka.
Cruz hasn’t played above the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League and is a true wild card for the Nationals. The 18-year-old shortstop is several hyperspace jumps from getting to the big leagues.
