Athletics signed INF/OF Ryan Court to a minor league contract.
The 31-year-old Court received his first call-up to the majors last season, going 5-for-24 (.208) with a homer over 12 games. He slashed .258/.364/.505 with 11 homers over 54 games in Triple-A while mostly seeing time between first and third base. He also offers experience in the outfield. Odds are he’ll just be organizational depth.

Mariners sent INF/OF Ryan Court outright to Triple-A Tacoma.
Court had been designated for assignment and will remain in the organization after clearing waivers.

Mariners designated INF/OF Ryan Court for assignment.
Court had slashed .208/.240/.375 with one home run across 25 plate appearances this season with Seattle. The versatile 31-year-old will likely pass through waivers unclaimed.

Mariners recalled INF/OF Ryan Court from Triple-A Tacoma.
Court had a brief stint in the majors earlier this season. He’ll play a utility role in the final month.
  • ATH 1st Baseman #4
Mariners optioned INF Ryan Court to Triple-A Tacoma.
The 31-year-old slashed .235/.278/.471 with one homer and five RBI in 17 at-bats during his limited time with the Mariners. He’ll continue to function as depth at Triple-A and should return once rosters expand in September.

Ryan Court went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a pair of RBI in the Mariners’ loss to the Rays on Friday.
Court launched his first major-league home run off Rays reliever Emilio Pagan in the bottom of the ninth inning. He also delivered a game-tying RBI single to right field off lefty Jalen Beens in the fourth inning. The 31-year-old rookie journeyman’s fantasy value is strictly limited to AL-Only formats.
  • MLB Shortstop #9
Tim Beckham has been replaced in the second inning of Wednesday’s contest with the Rangers due to an apparent injury.
It appears that Beckham hurt himself while making a throw home. Ryan Court has taken over in left field for Beckham. We’ll have an update on the severity/specifics of the injury when they’re provided.

Ryan Court went 2-for-5 with three RBI on Saturday in a rout of the Tigers.
A fun story. Court was making his first ever start in the MLB after making his debut as a pinch-hitter last night, and he was able to pick up his first hit/RBI on a single in the fourth. He also added two more RBI on a ground-rule double in the seventh. A day he’ll remember forever.

Ryan Court hit a two-run home run in Sunday’s Cactus League loss to the Indians.
Court hit a two-run shot off Indians starter Stephen Fife in the second inning. The dinger was his fourth of spring, and he’s hitting a robust .395 with a 1.266 OPS in league play. He’s turning heads but just doesn’t have a spot on the Cubs’ 25-man roster as it’s currently constructed. As such, the 29-year-old is organizational depth.

Cubs non-roster invitee Ryan Court hit a go-ahead two-run double in Friday’s 6-4 win over the Angels in Cactus League action.
Court entered the game as a pinch-runner and scored a run in the sixth inning before playing hero in the ninth. The 29-year-old signed a minor league deal with Chicago over the winter after batting .263/.347/.410 with 10 homers over 106 games with the Triple-A affiliate for the Red Sox last season. He’s never played in the majors and that’s unlikely to change this year with a team of this quality, but this was a nice moment for him.
