Scott Campbell tripled, doubled and drove in three runs as the Jays beat the Reds 7-2 on Saturday.
Campbell played second at Double-A last season, but the Jays have been keeping him at third this spring, suggesting that he’ll play there most of the time in Triple-A this year. Since Scott Rolen is very much available in trade talks, Campbell probably has a clearer path to the majors at third than he would at second. However, his lack of home run power figures to hold him back as a long-term option at the position.
