Seung Song has been promoted from Double-A Harrisburg to Triple-A Edmonton.
Song had a 2.35 ERA in 13 starts for Harrisburg and tossed a no-hitter in April. There’s a good chance he’ll join Montreal’s rotation after the All-Star break.

Blue Jays sent RHP Seung Song outright to Triple-A Syracuse.
The Jays surely had this planned from the moment they claimed him off waivers. Song made it all the way through this time. He could become a free agent, but he’ll probably stay with the Blue Jays and head to spring training as a non-roster player.

Blue Jays claimed RHP Seung Song off waivers from the Expos.
Not a great start for Expos GM Jim Bowden. Most organizations could have gotten away with giving up on Song, whose velocity is down from the days in which he was viewed as a top prospect. The Expos aren’t most organizations, though. Top to bottom, they have as little talent as any team in the game. Unless Bowden has some very pleasant surprises in store, he’s not going to come up with better uses for the final spots on his 40-man roster. Song will probably open next season with Triple-A Syracuse. He’s still a potential fourth or fifth starter.

Expos prospect Seung Song pitched a no-hitter for Double-A Harrisburg on Monday night.
Song, acquired from the Red Sox in the Cliff Floyd deal last year, walked two and struck out four. He committed an error in the ninth that led to a run for Erie, Detroit’s Double-A club.

Seung Song struck out 13 while allowing one unearned run in seven innings for Single-A San Jose yesterday.
Song has a 1.33 ERA for San Jose, but nothing less should have been expected. He obviously belongs in Triple-A.

Expos optioned RHP Seung Song and OF Valentino Pascucci to Triple-A Edmonton; reassigned RHP Jeff Farnsworth and INF Julius Matos to minor league camp.
Song pitched three scoreless innings last time out, but he still had a 6.23 ERA in 13 innings. He’ll be a part of Edmonton’s rotation. Pascucci is ready for a chance to be a reserve outfielder, but the Expos have several candidates for bench spots playing well above their heads right now.

Seung Song left his start for Triple-A Edmonton Sunday after injuring himself while sliding into second base.
Song pitched two scoreless innings before leaving. He has a 4.02 ERA in seven starts this year.

The injury to the Expos’ top pitching prospect Seung Song is serious, and the righthander will be out of action until at least August with a broken bone (radius) in his right arm.
He will need six weeks for the bone to heal, and another four for Song to regain strength in his arm. Song was 2-1 with a 4.02 ERA in Triple-A Edmonton at the time of the injury.

Expos signed RHP Seung Song, RHP Roy Corcoran, 3B Scott Hodges and OF Valentino Pascucci to one-year contracts.
All four players are likely to open the season in the minors, but Corcoran should have some chance of winning a bullpen spot. Song will probably be the first starting pitcher called up by the Expos.
