Steve Delabar said in an interview on the Outta the Park show with Barry Davis that he’s “ready to move on” from baseball.
Delabar is now coaching baseball at the high school level. The 35-year-old made the All-Star team back in 2013 with the Blue Jays but struggled after that. He retires with a career 4.07 ERA over parts of six major league seasons.

Mariners optioned RHP Steve Delabar to Triple-A Tacoma.
He was sent down to make room for Tuesday’s starter, Blake Beavan, on the active roster. Delabar, 29, has a 4.18 ERA and 44/9 K/BB ratio over 32 1/3 innings this season and should rejoin the Mariners’ bullpen before long.

Mariners optioned RHP Steve Delabar to Triple-A Tacoma.
Delabar has registered a 5.18 ERA in 25 relief appearances this season despite fanning 31 batters in 24 1/3 innings. He should be brought back up later this summer.

The Mariners are expected to recall Steve Delabar from Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday.
Yet another move for the Mariners, who will have a very different looking clubhouse. Delabar, 28, has a 5.18 ERA and 31/7 K/BB ratio over 24 1/3 innings at the major league level this season. He’ll likely be used in middle relief.

Mariners recalled RHP Steve Delabar from Triple-A Tacoma.
Delabar posted a 5.18 ERA and 31/7 K/BB ratio in 24 1/3 innings with the Mariners earlier this season. He has swing-and-miss stuff, but won’t be anything more than a middle reliever while he’s up in the bigs.

The Mariners will recall RHP Steve Delabar from Triple-A Tacoma prior to Friday’s game.
He’s expected to take the roster spot for Franklin Gutierrez, who will be placed on the 7-day disabled list with a concussion. Delabar has a 4.78 ERA and 34/8 K/BB ratio over 26 1/3 innings at the major league level this year and will pitch in middle relief.

Mariners recalled RHP Steve Delabar from Triple-A Tacoma.
As expected, Delabar was recalled to take the place of Franklin Gutierrez on the active roster. Over 26 1/3 innings with the Mariners this year, he posted a 4.78 ERA and 34/8 K/BB ratio. He’ll serve in a middle relief role for the next week or so until Gutierrez is cleared to return.

Mariners recalled RHP Steve Delabar from Triple-A Tacoma.
Delabar was demoted to the minors just over 24 hours ago, but the M’s have brought him back to serve as depth while Charlie Furbush nurses a sore left triceps muscle.

Blue Jays acquired RHP Steve Delabar from the Mariners for OF Eric Thames.
Delabar has been far more effective in the bigs than the average fan probably realizes. Over 40 appearances the past two seasons, he has a 3.92 ERA with Seattle. He doesn’t come without warts, of course, but Toronto didn’t part with a lot to get him. The 29-year-old Delabar is a great story, having pitched in independent league ball from 2008-09. He missed the 2010 season due to an elbow injury and battled back to the majors from there. He’ll function in middle relief north of the border.

Mariners optioned RHP Steve Delabar to Triple-A Tacoma.
The 28-year-old has struggled in the Mariners’ bullpen this year, registering a 4.78 ERA over 26 1/3 innings. This was a corresponding move to recalling Oliver Perez. It’s highly likely that Delabar will be back with the big club at some point later this season, but in nothing more than a middle relief role.
