Selsky, 26, has batted .275/.380/.383 with one homer and one steal this season. He’s a non-prospect and doesn’t figure to play much for the Reds.

Selsky struck out in his one at-bat with the Reds. He was only in the majors for four days.

Selsky had a brief stint with the Reds last month and he’s back now that Jon Moscot has been demoted. The 26-year-old outfielder figures to be sent down when Anthony DeSclafani (oblique) is ready to make his season debut later this week.

Selsky picked up three hits over 10 at-bats in his brief stint with the big club. He’ll return to a .275/.380/.383 line at Louisville.

He’s getting a break after going 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in the early game. Steve Selsky will take over in left field and bat sixth against Bucs starter Trevor Williams.

Selsky had never tallied multiple hits in a game in his brief big league career before this one. He was part of a 22-hit, 15-run attack by the Reds, as Cincinnati ambushed Jaime Garcia and the Cardinals’ bullpen. It’s safe to say Selsky probably has earned a spot in Tuesday’s lineup.

It looks to be a day-to-day situation. Steve Selsky has taken Holt’s spot in right field.

His solo shot came off of Tony Watson in the 10th inning, but didn’t do enough to lead the Reds to victory. It was Selsky’s lone hit in four at-bats on the night. He’s expected to see fairly regular playing time over the final two weeks of the season and is worth a look in NL-only formats.

Selsky had three hits in 10 at-bats with the Reds earlier this season and slashed .280/.363/.459 with nine homers and 37 RBI in 296 at-bats at Triple-A Louisville. He could see some starts down the stretch.

The move clears a 40-man roster spot in Cincinnati following Thursday’s four-player Dan Straily trade. Selsky spent the majority of the 2016 season with Triple-A Louisville, batting .280/.363/.459 with nine home runs and 37 RBI in 85 games. The 27-year-old outfielder could draw some interest on the waiver wire.
