Robertson thrived with a move to the bullpen this season, posting a 3.69 ERA, 16 saves and 88/29 K/BB ratio over 89 2/3 innings at the Double-A level. The 23-year-old southpaw also induces his fair share of ground balls, so he could find a spot in the Twins’ bullpen at some point next season.

Official word should come on Monday. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said on his radio show Sunday that Capps’ shoulder is “not good” following his appearance Saturday. The closer was held out of Sunday’s game. Glen Perkins figures to see the bulk of the save chances while Capps is out, with Jared Burton also in the mix. Robertson has thrived since moving to the bullpen last season, posting a 3.69 ERA, 16 saves and 88/29 K/BB ratio over 89 2/3 innings at the Double-A level in 2011 and a 3.77 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 33 appearances at Triple-A this year.

Robertson had a 3.77 ERA and 1.36 WHIP through 33 appearances this season at the Triple-A level. He’ll serve as middle relief depth while Matt Capps’ shoulder heals.

Robertson has control issues, but he’s struck out over a batter per inning at Triple-A and in his brief time with the Twins. He’s not a bad depth add for a club lacking left-handed relief depth.

Robertson has made just two appearances with the Twins this season and currently has a 3.05 ERA at Triple-A Rochester. He should clear waivers and remain in the organization.

Robertson has appeared in two games this season for the Twins, allowing one run in one inning of work. A corresponding roster move will be made on Sunday.

Robertson cleared waivers after being designated for assignment last week. The 25-year-old appeared in two games with the Twins this year and had a 3.04 ERA over 47 appearances at the Triple-A level.

Robertson, 25, was claimed off waivers from the Twins in June and didn’t throw a pitch for the Nationals. Between the two organizations he posted a 3.04 ERA in 47 1/3 innings in 2013. The move cleared space on the Nationals’ 40-man roster.

There are no surprise cuts in this bunch. Robertson is the only one with big league experience, having appeared in 42 games over the last two seasons with the Twins. He’ll give the Nationals some Triple-A depth.

Robertson held a 4.15 ERA over 12 appearances at Triple-A for the Nationals last season. He last pitched in the majors in 2013, when he made two appearances with the Twins. The 27-year-old is just depth filler.
