Royals RHP prospect Yender Caramo twirled eight shutout frames Saturday in a win for Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
Saturday matched the longest outing of his career. Caramo fanned seven hitters while allowing only three hits and two walks. He induced 11 groundouts in the victory. The 24-year-old just recently moved to the starting rotation after beginning the year as a long reliever. Caramo is now 2-4 with a 2.72 ERA in seven starts for the Naturals.
