Zach Agnos allowed two runs with one strikeout over three innings in a loss against the Brewers on Saturday.
Agnos opened the game, tossing the first three innings against the Brewers. He gave up a solo homer to Brice Turang in the first inning, then another solo shot to David Hamilton in the second. Agnos would pitch a scoreless third before handing it over to Blas Castaño, who gave the Rockies 2 2/3 scoreless with a pair of strikeouts. Agnos will likely open once again in a start against the Athletics at Las Vegas Stadium on Friday.

Rockies recalled RHP Zach Agnos from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Agnos was just optioned out on Monday, but he’ll get a chance to return with Tanner Gordon (hip) landing on the injured list. Agnos has posted a troublesome 7.78 ERA and 1.57 WHIP across 37 innings as a long reliever for the Rockies this season.

Rockies optioned RHP Zach Agnos to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Agnos heads back to the minors after posting a disastrous 7.78 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 27/13 K/BB ratio across 37 innings this season as a long reliever. He was torched for seven earned runs in each of his last two appearances after tossing five shutout frames against the Diamondbacks on May 22.

Zach Agnos worked five scoreless innings against the Diamondbacks on Thursday, but didn’t factor into the decision.
That’s the first time Agnos has ever thrown five innings in an MLB game. It was set to be a bullpen game after the Rockies pushed Tomoyuki Sugano to Friday, but Agnos was so effective it just became a regular start. He allowed only one hit, struck out four and issued a single free pass while throwing 71 pitches before exiting. Agnos could work as a multi-inning opener again next week, but nothing is scheduled, and fantasy managers shouldn’t expect similar results if he does.
  • COL Starting Pitcher #11
Tomoyuki Sugano has had his next start pushed back from Thursday to Friday.
It looks like the Rockies want their starters to have an extra day off this week. Zach Agnos will start against the D-backs in a bullpen game on Thursday.

Rockies recalled RHP Zach Agnos from Triple-A Albuquerque.
Agnos holds a lackluster 5.59 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 20/10 K/BB ratio across 29 innings over 13 appearances for the Rockies this season. He’ll operate in low-leverage spots.

Rockies optioned RHP Zach Agnos to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Agnos has had a rough time in 13 appearances for the Rockies this season, registering a 5.59 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and a 20/10 K/BB ratio over 29 innings of work. Blas Castano was recalled from Triple-A to take his spot in the Rockies’ bullpen.

Zach Agnos worked the final inning of the second game of a doubleheader against the Mets to pick up a save without allowing a run for the Rockies on Sunday.
Viktor Vodnik got the save in the first game of the twin billing and threw 15 pitches, so he wasn’t an option. The Rockies turned to Agnos instead, and while he did allow a double to MJ Melendez, he kept Melendez from advancing while picking up his second save of 2026. Vodnik remains the closer here, and Agnos wouldn’t necessarily be next in line if something were to change that.

Zach Agnos pitched 3 1/3 scoreless innings for a save in a 9-1 game against the Astros on Wednesday.
Agnos had four saves as a rookie last year, all of the one-inning variety. His career-long outing as a major leaguer had been two innings, so it was surprising seeing him get 10 outs today. The Astros, though, never showed any sign of caring to do damage. Not a single one of the nine balls in play against him were hit hard. Agnos had allowed five runs and 11 hits in 3 2/3 innings coming into today.

Rockies activated RHP Zach Agnos from the 15-day injured list.
Agnos rejoins Colorado’s bullpen mix after missing nearly two months recovering from a flexor strain in his right elbow. The 25-year-old righty has struggled to an inflated 6.98 ERA across 29 2/3 innings over 28 appearances this season in his first taste of the majors.
