Cubs RHP prospect Zach Hedges dominated over seven innings Sunday in a no-decision for High-A Myrtle Beach.
Hedges limited visiting Wilmington to one hit and one unearned run while throwing 53 of his 79 pitches for strikes. He finished with three strikeouts and one walk. The 23-year-old has been on a roll recently, allowing just one earned run over his last 14 innings of work. Hedges leads the Carolina League with a 1.02 WHIP and also owns the league’s fifth-lowest ERA at 2.35.
