WHAT WENT RIGHT: Silently advanced to the third round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup before being eliminated ...Finished eighth in the points standings, his best result since placing fourth in 2009 ... Earned multiple poles for first time since 2011, two in his first four starts ... Won the spring Michigan race after it was called due to rain after 138 laps ... Didn’t record any DNFs a year after finishing the 2014 season with six .

WHAT WENT WRONG: Was suspended the first three races of the season due to domestic violence allegations involving ex-girlfriend Patricia Driscoll ... Title hopes were dashed in the first race of the third round of the Chase when he finished 34th after being involved in a crash on Lap 436

WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2016: Enters his third season with SHR ... Will have new sponsorship in Monster Energy drink for 17 races and as the full sponsor for one race ... Still looking for his second Sprint Cup title, the first since 2004.
