The $400 million renovation of Daytona International Speedway claimed another piece of track history Thursday.
The track announced it has demolished the sign that had stood on International Speedway Boulevard since January 1994.
Demolition took only a few hours to complete. The entirety of the “Daytona Rising” is scheduled to be complete in January 2016, in time for the Rolex 24 At Daytona and the 58th annual Daytona 500.
