NASCAR America: Tony Stewart: Throwback paint schemes a ‘time capsule’

Tony Stewart reveals the Bobby Allison throwback scheme, how he'd fare living and racing in past decades, and the meaning of winning at Darlington.

Tony Stewart’s final Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway will feature a tribute to the career of NASCAR Hall of Famer Bobby Allison.

Stewart, who tells NBC Sports’ Dustin Long how important Allison was to him getting “acclimated” to NASCAR, will drive a Coca-Cola paint scheme that Allison used in 1971 and ’72.

Stewart also discusses why the throwback paint scheme program is so special to him and other drivers.
