Packers agreed to terms with No. 193 pick OLB Nate Palmer on a four-year contract.
A college defensive end, Palmer is built at 6-foot-2, 248 just like how Mike McCarthy wants his special teamers to be. Palmer will open his career attempting to record tackles in kickoff and punt coverage if he makes the 53.

Packers selected Illinois State LB Nate Palmer with the No. 193 overall pick.
Palmer (6-foot-2, 248) played defensive end for the Redhawks but will transition to outside linebacker in Green Bay’s 3-4. He ran a 4.7-flat forty with explosive jumps of 35 1/2" in the vertical and 10-foot-5 on the broad. The Packers like their special teamers to be built like Palmer, in the 240-260 pound range with good straight-line speed. He won’t play on defense as a rookie.

Titans re-signed LB Nate Palmer to a two-year contract.
The Titans have locked up Palmer and LB Daren Bates for their special teams units.

Titans claimed ILB Nate Palmer off waivers from the Packers.
Palmer was highly ineffective as a 10-game starting inside linebacker for Green Bay last year, but the Titans may view him as a 26-year-old prospect with starting experience. He’ll compete for a roster spot in training camp.

Packers placed OLB Nate Palmer (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Palmer suffered a torn MCL in Green Bay’s preseason finale. He made two starts on defense last year and was a key player on special teams. 24-year-old Palmer is signed through 2016.
