ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Davis Bertans has been traded to the Washington Wizards.
Bertans heads to Washington as part of a three-team deal that sends DeMarre Carroll from the Nets to the Spurs. The Wizards will send the rights to F Aaron White and the Spurs will send the rights to G/F Nemanja Dangubic to Brooklyn to complete the deal. Bertans is an elite shooter for a big (43% on 4.4 3PAs last season) and should see a much easier path to playing time with the Wiz. He’s on the deep-league radar, at the very least, as of right now.

Aaron White has signed a two-year deal with Zenit St. Petersburg in Russia.
He was the Wizards’ 49th pick in the 2015 Draft and spent last season playing in Germany. He only averaged 7.2 points per game during the summer league, so he’s not ready to make the jump to the NBA. It’s a two-year deal, but the second year is a team option and he does have an NBA buyout clause.

The Spurs have reportedly explored moving up in the first round of the 2016 NBA draft.
San Antonio currently owns the No. 29 overall selection in the upcoming draft, but perhaps they have their eyes on a late first-round target. Tim Duncan and David West both have player options for the upcoming season, and Boban Marjonavic is going to be an unrestricted free agent, so maybe the Spurs look to add some frontcourt help on draft day.

Aaron White was selected with the 49th pick by the Wizards but he will play overseas during the 2015-16 season.
He’s more of an offensive guy as a stretch four at 6'9. In his senior year, White averaged 16.4 points, 7.3 boards, 1.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.6 treys with the Hawkeyes. He obviously won’t be putting up those types of stats any time soon, even if he does join the Wizards in 2016-17.

Aaron White initially wanted to go to training camp with the Wizards, but he confirmed that he will “probably” play overseas next season.
“The thing with training camp is if I went to training camp and I didn’t make the team, I’d have to get cut and the Wizards would lose my rights,” White said. “So right now it’s looking like I’ll probably go overseas. I’m in talks with both my agent and the front office of the Wizards trying to work out a good situation for me.” White has struggled in summer league with averages of 3.0 points and 3.7 boards while shooting just 30.8 percent from the field, so he clearly has a lot of work to do. We will keep a close eye on this situation, but it’s safe to ignore White in fantasy leagues next season.

Aaron White is hoping to earn an invite to Wizards training camp.
While it’s more likely that the rookie will end up overseas for the 2015-16 season, he’s hoping to benefit from attending training camp even if there are no roster spots available. “It’s too early to say,” said White’s agent, Chris Emens. “We’re talking to [the Wizards] about some of that stuff.” We’ll update White’s situation as more information becomes available, but he can be ignored in standard fantasy leagues for the 2015-16 season.

Aaron White is finalizing a one-year deal to play overseas with Telekom Baskets Bonn of Germany.
White will not be at the Wizards’ training camp, and he will not be a factor in fantasy hoops next season.
