Cedric Coward (back) is out for Friday’s game against the Jazz.

Coward joins the long list of Grizzlies players who won’t be available for Friday’s game. Adama Bal and Dariq Whitehead should play plenty due to the injuries, with the former logging 39 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Nuggets.

Jahmai Mashack (concussion) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Nuggets.

Mashack has missed Memphis’ last two games, with his absence contributing to increased playing time for Dariq Whitehead and Adama Bal. Even if Mashack returns on Wednesday, minutes won’t be an issue for Whitehead or Bal.

Dariq Whitehead totaled 20 points (7-of-15 FGs), three rebounds, one assist and six three-pointers in the loss to the Cavaliers on Monday.

Similar to his teammate Adama Bal, Whitehead also came off the bench, drained six three-pointers, and finished with 20 points. The points and triples were both season-highs for the third-year guard, who played in his third game of the season on Monday. He hasn’t gotten many opportunities this season, but may continue playing a large role off the bench to end the season.

Adama Bal added 20 points (7-of-14 FGs), six rebounds, one steal and six three-pointers.

Bal logged a career-best performance on Monday, despite the loss. The rookie guard, in the sixth game of his career, was one of two Grizzlies off the bench to make six three-pointers. Bal’s hot shooting led him to the first 20-point game of his career, as he finished as one of the team’s top scorers on the evening.

Jahmai Mashack (concussion) is out for Monday’s game against the Cavaliers.

Mashack remains in concussion protocol and will miss a second consecutive game. Dariq Whitehead and Adama Bal are two players who have logged rotation minutes recently, and that should remain the case on Monday.

Cedric Coward (back) is out for Sunday’s game against the Bucks.

Coward was initially doubtful for Sunday’s game, so his absence is unsurprising. Adama Bal and Lucas Williamson are likely to see their minutes increase, but neither is worth the streaming risk.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper (wrist) will not play against the Suns on Monday.

Prospoer is one of several Grizzlies ruled out for Monday’s contest. The third-year forward has started games for Memphis lately and is playing well, scoring 31 points against the Rockets on Friday. With him unavailable on Monday, Adama Bal could see an uptick in playing time and opportunities against the Suns.
