Rumors persist that the Celtics could be interesting in bringing back Antoine Walker.
When asked about it, Danny Ainge rolled his eyes and said, “I don’t want to comment on trade rumors, but any time you hear that Al Jefferson is mentioned, there’s really nothing else I have to say.”

Antoine Walker played well out of the center position again last night.
Depending on your league’s position eligibility rules, Walker’s move to center could be a nice bonus during the last two weeks.

The Dallas Morning News suspects that the Mavericks will attempt to trade Antoine Walker for a defensive-minded center this summer.
Maybe a sign-and-trade for Erick Dampier? The Mavs will also look at adding Mark Blount or Adonal Foyle. But before that, re-signing Steve Nash is the team’s top priority.

Celtics’ director of basketball operations Danny Ainge won’t give Antoine Walker the contract extension he desires this summer.
Walker has two years left on his deal (at $13.5 and $14.625 million) and has made public on at least two occasions his preference for a longer commitment. ''That’s a subject for next summer,’' Ainge said. ''It’s too early to do anything like that. I want some time to evaluate people for myself.’'

The Knicks and Celtics reportedly have had discussions in recent days concerning a deal for Antoine Walker.
It seems unlikely that the Celtics would want Latrell Sprewell, which means Kurt Thomas would have to be involved. It’s not likely that a deal will happen.

The rumors aren’t going away that Antoine Walker is being offered back to the Celtics.
Celtics coach Doc Rivers and director of basketball operations Danny Ainge want Walker, said an NBA source. Walker would reportedly welcome a return to Boston. “Antoine would be on a bus tonight. He’d walk here,’' said the source. The 76ers, and Walker’s former coach Jim O’Brien, are said to have much interest, as do the Pacers. One obstacle to any deal is for the Celtics or anyone else to part with players whose salaries would come close to matching Walker’s $14.6 million. Still, the source said Atlanta will deal Walker by Feb. 20.

ESPN.com reports that Dallas will complete a trade on Wednesday sending Antoine Walker to the Hawks for Jason Terry and Alan Henderson.
The Mavericks are a better team with Terry, but his fantasy stats could go down in a crowded Dallas offense. Walker will finish out the final year of his max contract in Atlanta, where he should be motivated to post big fantasy numbers.

According to the New York Daily News, Boston rejected the deal but may reconsider if it can’t find a better offer for Walker.
