That gives the team 20 signed players heading into camp. Out of the players they’ve signed this summer (Giles, Brandon Heath, Dwayne Mitchell, Joe Crawford, Josh Powell and Sun Yue), only Powell’s and Sun’s are guaranteed. Giles has had a troubled past after being kicked off of both the Kansas and Oregen State teams. He was undrafted in June.

He’s been kicked off both Kansas and Oregon State thus far, but could be taken with a second-round flier by an NBA team.

“He has a lot of talent,” Blazers coach Nate McMillan said. “Today he shot the ball well, and I think he can play in this league. It just depends on the team, the situation that they have.” Giles was kicked off his Kansas and Oregon State teams, and will have to blow teams away in private workouts if he’s going to get drafted in the first round.
