The Pacers re-signed big man Courtney Sims after releasing him last week.
Both Jermaine O’Neal and Troy Murphy are listed as doubtful for Wednesday’s season-opener, and while Sims has no fantasy value, Ike Diogu and Jeff Foster should be decent plays this week.
  • The Pacers re-signed C Courtney Sims to a non-guaranteed contract on Wednesday.
The Pacers released Sims after training camp, re-signed him several days later and cut him again Dec. 4. Hopefully this doesn’t mean that Jeff Foster’s and David Harrison’s injuries are too serious, but the timing of the move is probably not a coincidence.
  • The Pacers waived C Courtney Sims for the third time this season on Wednesday.
He has offers to play in Europe but feels he’s close to getting a contract. Don’t be surprised if the Pacers sign him for a fourth time this season at some point.
  • The Knicks signed center Courtney Sims to a second 10-day contract on Thursday.
He has yet to appear in a game with the Knicks since first signing with the team on March 23.
  • Courtney Sims and Mario West were waived by the Hawks on Wednesday.
West was a fan favorite due to his frenetic defensive intensity, but wasn’t going to make a statistical impact in the Hawks’ crowded guard rotation. Both he and Sims could catch on elsewhere, but neither should be a consideration even in the deepest leagues.
  • The Suns signed center Courtney Sims to a second 10-day contract Saturday.
Sims signed his first 10-day contract on January 20th but did not appear in a game. That about sums up his value.
  • Courtney Sims and Richard Hendrix top the list of potential signings for the Suns, according to a report by Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic on Sunday.
The Suns are forced by league rules to sign a player by Tuesday, in order to meet the 13-player minimum requirement. They’ve been looking for point guards recently, but apparently they seem content with Goran Dragic as their backup. Neither Sims or Hendrix have fantasy value.
  • The Suns are expected to sign center Courtney Sims to a 10-day contract on Tuesday.
The Suns are required to sign a player to meet the league’s 13-player minimum. Sims will see most of his action in practice, but could get a few minutes whenever Shaq is held out.
  • Courtney Sims will return Friday to the Suns’ D-league affiliate in Iowa.
The Suns will once again use the allotted two weeks to get back up to the 13-man roster minimum. Sims does not have any fantasy value.
  • The Knicks signed center Courtney Sims to a 10-day contract on Monday.
Sims has played four games in his career and isn’t worth owning.
