The Celtics are about to sign 37-year-old Dana Barros to a 10-day contract.
As long as Barros looks good in Wednesday’s game, he’ll probably be Boston’s 12th man in the playoffs.

Dana Barros has been appointed Boston’s new recreation director, and continues to work out in case a team might need his veteran services.
“I still play two, three times a week probably. And every year I get a call from a team in like February or March: ‘Hey, you thinking about playing?’ If I get that right call, I’ll definitely go back and play.” Barros averaged 10.4 PPG in his 15-year career, including a career-high 20.6 in 1994 with Philly.

Former Boston Celtic Dana Barros has a new role with the team, as Director of Player Development.
“I don’t know if it’s official yet,” said general manager Danny Ainge, who added that Barros’ promotion will move current Director of Player Development, Mike Crotty, into a role as “jack of all trades”.

Dana Barros was signed to the playoff roster for Boston today and had seven points in his debut tonight.
He will back up Chucky Atkins and Marcus Banks as the Celtics open up with a series against the Pacers. Good luck!
