Drew Eubanks (thumb) underwent surgery to repair the torn UCL in his left thumb.
Eubanks most recently played 15 minutes in a March 11 loss to the Hornets, and the left thumb has been an issue for most of this season. A fracture suffered in December limited the veteran backup to six appearances over a two-plus-month stretch, and a torn ulnar collateral ligament suffered recently required surgery. While the Kings have not yet provided an official timeline, Eubanks is unlikely to return in time to add value to fantasy rosters.

Drew Eubanks (thumb) is out for Sunday’s game against the Jazz.
Eubanks is set to miss another game with a sore left thumb. Dylan Cardwell played 13 minutes off the bench in Eubanks’ absence Saturday against the Clippers, but had no points to go with six rebounds.

Drew Eubanks (thumb) is out for Saturday’s game against the Clippers.
Eubanks will sit out Saturday’s game due to a sore left thumb. His absence frees up playing time for Dylan Cardwell, who is available to make his return from a sprained ankle that sidelined him for nearly a month.
  • SAC Center #42
Kings insider James Ham reports that Maxime Raynaud (knee) showed no structural damage in his left knee and is expected to be available for Sunday’s game against the Bucks.
Raynaud injured his left knee late in Friday’s loss to the Suns, hobbling off the court after being inadvertently clipped by teammate Russell Westbrook. The rookie’s MRI on Saturday showed no structural damage, and the fact that he’s expected to play on Sunday is excellent news. Drew Eubanks will remain in the backup center role, where there isn’t much fantasy value to be found.

Maxime Raynaud (knee) finished Friday’s loss to the Suns with six points (3-of-7 FGs, 0-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Raynaud, who has filled in for the injured Domantas Sabonis as Sacramento’s starting center, had a rather nondescript night in Phoenix. Unfortunately, that changed when the rookie center’s left knee was clipped by teammate Russell Westbrook while setting a screen late in the fourth quarter. Raynaud exited immediately after the injury, and the Kings would be in a tough spot if he had to miss time. Drew Eubanks would likely re-enter the starting lineup, while Dylan Cardwell may need to be recalled from the G League.

Drew Eubanks (thumb) is not on the injury report for Tuesday’s game against the Clippers.
Eubanks suffered an avulsion fracture of his left thumb during a December 11 game against the Nuggets and has missed Sacramento’s last seven games. His return means that Dylan Cardwell drops from the rotation. In fact, the Kings have sent the rookie to the G League, so he’ll be inactive on Monday. Eubanks will serve as Maxime Raynaud’s backup.

Domantas Sabonis (knee) will be re-evaluated in four to five weeks.
Sabonis has been out since mid-November with a partially torn meniscus in his left knee. Unfortunately, his most recent re-evaluation has prompted the Kings to rule him out for another four to five weeks, at least. With Drew Eubanks (thumb) also out, fantasy managers should not hesitate to add rookie Maxime Raynaud. Rostered in 16 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has been a 12th-round player in nine-cat formats over the past two weeks.

Drew Eubanks (thumb) will be re-evaluated in three weeks.
Eubanks exited Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets after playing four first-quarter minutes. He has since been diagnosed with an avulsion fracture of his left thumb and will miss at least three weeks. Maxime Raynaud will continue to start in place of the injured Domantas Sabonis, and he’s worth streaming out of necessity. Precious Achiuwa’s playing time should increase as well, but Raynaud is the player to target.
  • SAC Center #42
Maxime Raynaud accumulated 15 points (7-of-13 FGs, 0-of-2 FTs), nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and one three-pointer in Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets.
Making his third straight start in place of the injured Domantas Sabonis (knee), Raynaud took on a challenging matchup in the form of Denver’s Nikola Jokić. He finished one rebound shy of a double-double and has reached double figures in scoring in four straight games. With Drew Eubanks exiting Thursday’s game with a right thumb injury, the Kings will likely need more production from Raynaud as they await Sabonis’ return. He’s rostered in 23 percent of Yahoo! leagues, and that number may increase ahead of Sunday’s game against the Timberwolves.

Drew Eubanks (thumb) will not return to Thursday’s game against the Nuggets.
Eubanks exited Thursday’s game after playing just under four first-quarter minutes after suffering a right thumb injury. The severity and how much time he could potentially miss won’t be learned until Friday, but Eubanks’ exit leaves the Kings light on options in the post. Maxime Raynaud will play plenty, with Precious Achiuwa slotting into the backup center role. That has also opened up rotation minutes for Doug McDermott.
