With Curry was still at 320 pounds earlier this summer, the Bulls were thinking about trading him. Now that he’s in shape, it’s expected that they’ll keep him and see what happens in year four of his career.

The Warriors did not extend Jason Richardson’s contract, which has him ticked. He’s also a midwestern guy. We don’t expect much to come of this but it’s fun that the trade rumors are already flying.

Grizzlies’ GM Dick Versace is said to be a big fan of Curry, but maybe he just likes spicy food and not the Bulls’ center.

Bulls GM Jim Paxson has expressed interest in Sweetney before. After Wednesday night’s terrible game, Paxson may want to deal while he still can.

Curry and Tyson Chandler are compaining about being made scapegoats for the Bulls terrible starts.

Starters Kirk Hinrich and Luol Deng were also benched, prompting Curry to say that it was time for he and Scott Skiles to talk again about his future. Curry is probably really upset about the fact that the Warriors had a scout on hand to watch him, yet Skiles played him just 13 minutes. You have to wonder why Skiles wouldn’t try to showcase him last night if the Bulls truly are trying to move him. The popular rumor right now is a three way deal that would send Curry to Golden St., Mike Dunleavy to the Clippers and Bobby Simmons and Chris Wilcox to the Bulls.

Curry has played just four fourth-quarter minutes the last two games, yielding minutes to Antonio Davis and Tyson Chandler. His rebounding average has fallen below Davis and Luol Deng.

Paxson is hoping neither big man plans to go out and sign an offer sheet, but regardless, he thinks the Bulls can get a deal done since both players, Paxson believes, want to be in Chicago.

Curry will continue to have his ups and downs, but figures to have his best season yet.

Assistand Ron Adams already appears a likely candidate to take over on an interim basis. GM John Paxson won’t comment on Cartwright’s status, but he spoke highly of Adams before the season.
