The Nets have signed Egidijus Mockevicius to a one-year, partially guaranteed contract.
It’s a training camp invite for Mockevicius, who led the NCAA in rebounds this past season, however he didn’t do much during summer league with averages of just 5.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in 10.7 minutes per game. The Nets already have 15 guaranteed contracts on the books for the 2016-17 season, so Mockevicius is extremely unlikely to make Brooklyn’s opening-night roster.
  • NBA Point Guard #5
According to NetsDaily, Yogi Ferrell, Egidijus Mockevicius and Beau Beech are not expected to make the 15-man roster in Brooklyn.
The Nets currently have 18 players heading into training camp with 15 guaranteed deals, though it’s worth noting that Ferrell likely has the best chance of making the team. Greivis Vasquez has been having trouble with his ankle for 18 months now, so Ferrell’s status likely hinges on the health of the Venezuelan PG.
