The Nuggets have waived Jorge Gutierrez and Elijah Millsap.
No fantasy impact here, as both players were longshots to make the Nuggets final 15-man roster.
  • Shooting Guard #59
The Nuggets are signing Elijah Millsap to a training camp contract.
Millsap (Paul’s younger brother) last played in the league back in 2017, appearing in two games for the Suns. He’s unlikely to make the Nuggets Opening Night roster.

The Lakers signed D-League forward Elijah Millsap to a training camp deal.
Zach Andrews was also signed to a look-see deal, and with the Lakers far from having their roster filled out it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if Millsap made the final cut. Millsap is brothers with Paul, and has shown well in D-League action. Obviously, there is no fantasy value here.

Elijah Millsap has signed with the Shanghai Sharks.
Millsap was in training camp with the Lakers last season, but Paul’s brother will have a larger role and more lucrative paycheck in China.

Elijah Millsap will sign for the Suns for the remainder of the season.
Elijah is Paul Millsap’s younger brother and does have some NBA experience. He played a total of 67 games for the Jazz in the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons, averaging 4.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.9 steals. He’s unlikely to make an impact for fantasy owners in the final three games of the season unless the Suns rest some of their young studs.

Elijah Millsap made his fourth start of the season on Tuesday, finishing a win vs. the Knicks with two points, one assist and three turnovers in a mere 14 minutes of action.
Millsap was averaging 7.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals in his previous starts, but that was paired with just 6.3 points on 26.3 percent shooting. That’s not much worse than his season average (33.2 percent) and he’ll need to knock down more shots to hold any fantasy appeal as a rookie.
  • NBA Small Forward #33
Gordon Hayward (shoulder) is being listed as probable for Friday’s game vs. the Nuggets.
Hayward spent the past two games on the sidelines, but it appears he’ll be able to return to the lineup on Friday for a favorable matchup against the Nuggets. With Hayward back, Elijah Millsap and Trey Burke would be candidates to head back to the bench. Check back for another update on Hayward’s status closer to Friday’s tip.
  • NBA Small Forward #22
Rodney Hood (illness) did not travel with the team for their road-game in Denver.
We’ll be considering Hood doubtful for Friday’s game vs. the Nuggets, and if he is indeed unavailable, Elijah Millsap and Joe Ingles will have the opportunity to play extended minutes. Stay tuned.

Elijah Millsap started for Gordon Hayward (shoulder) and hit 4-of-10 shots and a 3-pointer for nine points, eight boards, two assists and a steal in 33 minutes.
Not a terrible line, but not one that will really grab your attention, either. Trey Burke also started and had 22 points, while Joe Ingles came off the bench for 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, three steals and a 3-pointer on 4-of-10 shooting. As long as Hayward is out, we’re guessing Burke could be the man to own for scoring, while Millsap and Ingles will be better bets for the intangibles. Rodney Hood was also out with an illness, which helped the aforementioned players.

Jazz head coach Quin Snyder refuted reports on Thursday that Elijah Millsap had lost the coaching staff’s trust, and said that he’s been pleased with Millsap’s progress this offseason.
“The thing he’s been doing is making better decisions with the ball,” said Snyder of Millsap. “It’s been good, he’s played well.” Millsap is on a non-guaranteed deal, and is not a lock to make Utah’s regular-season roster. Snyder may be pleased with his progress, but even if he does make the squad, playing limited minutes behind Gordon Hayward will make him a non-option in most leagues.
