He’ll be invited to training camp on a non-guaranteed deal. The undrafted UC Santa Barbara product obviously doesn’t project to crack the rotation at this point, but at least he has an opportunity. He’s 7'3" and the Lakers have also been noncommittal on second-round pick Robert Sacre, so it wouldn’t be a complete shock to see Somogyi make the team, but the L.A. Times called him the “longest of longshots” to make the final roster.

The Lakers signed Somogyi for Summer League and training camp last year, and the 23-year-old impressed Brown enough to earn a look from the Cavs. Size is always coveted and Somogyi is 7'3" and 242 pounds, but his skill-level and athleticism could prevent him from ever getting a foothold in the NBA. He’s averaging just 12.8 minutes per game with his current team in Spain.
