Aaron Gordon (hamstring) is probable for Sunday’s game against the Bucks.
Gordon played 24 minutes off the bench in Friday’s loss to the Hawks and should take on a similar workload on Sunday. The Nuggets have taken a conservative approach to his playing time, with Hunter Tyson starting on Friday since Spencer Jones (ankle, illness) was out.
  • DEN Forward #5
Jalen Pickett, Christian Braun, Peyton Watson, Hunter Tyson and DaRon Holmes II will start Friday’s game against the Hawks.
The Nuggets won’t have Jamal Murray or Spencer Jones for Friday’s game, opening two spots in the starting lineup. Pickett and Tyson will fill the voids, with the latter’s inclusion an indication that Aaron Gordon remains under a strict minutes restriction. While fantasy managers don’t need to consider streaming Tyson, Pickett is worth the risk in deeper formats.
  • DEN Power Forward #5
Hunter Tyson amassed 12 points (4-of-14 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one three-pointer in Thursday’s loss to the Bucks.
While Tyson did not have his best night shooting the basketball, he did finish the one-point defeat with a double-double. After appearing in 18 games as a rookie, the 2023 second-round pick made 51 appearances for the Nuggets last season. Denver’s addition of Jonas Valančiūnas strengthens their frontcourt rotation, likely making it more challenging for Tyson to offer statistical value after playing sparingly in his first two seasons.
  • DEN Power Forward #5
Hunter Tyson (ankle) is available for Game 7 on Sunday against the Thunder.
Tyson has been upgraded to available, but it’s unlikely he sees many minutes. He’s been out of Denver’s rotation throughout the playoffs.
  • DEN Power Forward #32
Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Hunter Tyson (ankle) are officially questionable for Game 7 against the Thunder on Sunday.
Gordon is said to be a true game-time decision after he injured his left hamstring in Game 6. His availability appears to be in doubt, though the Nuggets hope he will play. Tyson has missed the last three games with an ankle injury. He wasn’t part of the Nuggets’ rotation, but could see some minutes if he’s healthy and Gordon is out. Russell Westbrook, Julian Strawther and Peyton Watson will all have added importance if Gordon is unavailable.
  • DEN Power Forward #5
Hunter Tyson (ankle) will remain sidelined for Game 6 against the Thunder on Thursday.
Tyson was a late addition to the injury report ahead of Game 4 and will miss a third straight game. Tyson hasn’t been part of the rotation, so his absence will not impact things for Denver.
  • DEN Power Forward #5
Hunter Tyson (ankle) is out for Game 4 against the Thunder on Sunday.
Tyson was added to the Nuggets’ injury report Sunday afternoon. He has officially been ruled out for Game 4. His absence will not significantly impact Denver’s rotation, as he is not guaranteed to play on most nights.
  • DEN Power Forward #5
Hunter Tyson (ankle) is questionable for Game 4 against the Thunder on Sunday.
Tyson is a late addition to the Nuggets’ injury report. The team announced his change in status two hours before the scheduled tip time. Tyson’s availability will have minimal impact, as he is not in the regular rotation.
  • DEN Power Forward #5
Hunter Tyson accumulated 18 points (7-of-20 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), six rebounds and three three-pointers in 29 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Spurs.
Wednesday’s start was the second of Tyson’s career, as the Nuggets were without their entire starting five. He got his money’s worth by putting up 20 shots, but the second-year forward only made 35 percent of his attempts. There’s no need to read too much into Tyson’s performance; most of the Nuggets’ starters should be back for Friday’s game against the Warriors. He’s unlikely to be in the rotation when Aaron Gordon and Michael Porter Jr. are available.
  • DEN Power Forward #22
Jalen Pickett, Russell Westbrook, Hunter Tyson, Zeke Nnaji and DeAndre Jordan will start Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
The Nuggets have four new starters for Wednesday’s game, with Pickett being the lone holdover from the quintet that started Tuesday’s loss to the Timberwolves. Westbrook, Tyson, Nnaji and Jordan are all worth streaming, as is Pickett, due to Denver’s many absences.
