Dwight Powell (hip) is out for Monday’s game against Washington.
Injured during a January 17 win over Oklahoma City, Powell will miss a fifth straight game on Monday with a strained right hip. With Maxi Kleber (foot) and Dereck Lively II (ankle) also out, Daniel Gafford will log heavy minutes as the starting center. To help with the numbers, the Mavericks have signed Kylor Kelley to a two-way contract, waiving Jazian Gortman to open up a spot.
